Going the extra mile to support and care for our clients.

Testimonial

As a family, we have been benefitting from the homecare services of Homecare Perfection for our close family member since December 2021. Our family member lives at home alone, and cannot manage on his own as he has multiple co-morbidities including Alzheimer’s Disease and Vascular Dementia.

Without assistance, he is unable to perform basic tasks and requires assistance and support with all personal cares, nutrition and hydration and routines since he has no concept of times of day or night. One of the difficult issues is his need for emotional support at times of extreme distress which is as a direct result of strokes, which are likely to continue in the future.

The carers are reassuring and supportive, asking for assistance if required. We are a family heavily involved in the care of our relative and in making sure our relative receives the best care possible.

Our family member has a substantial care package including waking night care. He is funded at home by the NHS and is in receipt of Continuing Healthcare funding given the extent of his needs.

Without the input he receives, he would not be able to continue living at home, something which is extremely important for him. We have found the team of carers to be kind, caring and professional. Our family member is comfortable with them being in his home and now relies on them for most daily routines. The carers support him with tasks but are supportive of his attempts to do things for himself, which he appreciates. This enables him to retain as much independence as possible, which is crucial for his own wellbeing and self-esteem. They encourage him to take part in activities such as playing dominoes and taking him out for walks. The carers are always willing to listen, and take on board any requested changes to routines to better suit our relative, who at times can be difficult to engage. They have gone the extra mile when our relative has required hospital care, staying well after the end of shifts to support and offer help in supporting both our relative, and us as a family.

This is something we have been hugely appreciative of and thankful for. Communication is good, and any assistance required is requested by carers with full knowledge of management. The management of the company is sympathetic and compassionate to any concerns, quick to act and amenable to changing things if measures in place are not working for our relative. They ensure that the carers undertake ongoing training, which we feel is essential and beneficial for both our family member and the carers themselves. They are willing to listen, take on board any concerns and put in place ways of further supporting our relative to remain at home. They pride themselves on running a company which is run with compassion for the needs of those requiring services, not one that rushes in and out with no time for those for whom they provide care – one of the reasons we approached this company in the first place as they take pride in the level of care they provide.

We are very pleased, as a supportive family, to be able to work in collaboration with Homecare Perfection, who are always available, willing to listen, act when there are issues which require addressing, and work hard to ensure the package of care is undertaken with minimal disruption for our family member. We are very grateful for their understanding and concerns in relation to our family member. Without the team of carers, our relative would be unable to remain at home.
